01 Challenge

The 18 hp diesel would not start, and replacement parts were expensive. Electric propulsion suited the way I wanted to use the boat.

I removed the roughly 200 kg engine, bought a 5.5 kW motor kit and built a battery box under the floor, keeping the existing shaft and propeller.

The boat ran on electric power. The build log records the engine removal, layout changes, battery box and wiring work.
