01 Challenge
A portable simulation still needed controls that felt like crane equipment, while supporting different crane types in the same training setup.
02 Solution
I designed and printed the enclosure, assembled the electronics and wrote the code connecting the controls to virtual PLCs. The software finds compatible simulations and changes the screen's button layout to match.
03 Result
The armrests provided reusable controls for different crane simulations and were demonstrated at ONS, with a screen or VR headset for the view.
